Perform Informix performance tuning to improve run-time of month-end reporting in a mixed OLTP and DSS environment (Online 7.23, 100 gig system). Research and debug software defects on the Sales and Catering system (NGS/Informix-4GL). Performed code review, mentoring and technical assistance to other members of department. Assisted with conversion from CMVC to Scopus for defect control. Wrote reports in I/Q Report Writer for defect management. Used CMVC for source code control. Assist with Y2K issues.

Perform Unix and Informix database administration in a DSS/Data Warehousing environment. Assist with the management of the Enforcement Revenue Information System (ERIS). Help to develop systems to provide IRS analysts with user-friendly Windows based Client/Server reporting tools (Brio). Train and mentor IS staff, write technical documentation, make recommendations on how to improve operations. Convert 20 gig DB from Informix 4.1 to 7.1.

Resource Consultants Inc., Technical Director 3/97 - 10/97 (6 months)

Direct operations for the Open Age commercial division of RCI. Responsible for help desk, dispatching and scheduling, financial reporting to upper management, pre-sales consultation and proposals, software development for database projects (using Netscape LiveWire Pro), hardware engineering, Netscape server and Unix administration, and internet integration.

Analyze law firm financial systems and develop specifications for conversion to Elite Legal Software. Programmed and managed 16 software conversions. Created procedures for installation and support of new Unix systems. Provide Unix and Informix Online administration, performance tuning and backup procedures. AT&T, Creative Software Division, Systems Analyst 4/91-7/91 (4 month contract)

Developed software in Informix-4GL used by several of the Regional Bell Operating companies. Developed software to do phone call tracing. Created special techniques used to locate phone number ranges.

General Computer Management, V.P. Technical Development 1/88 - 3/91 (3+ years)

Managed all technical areas within the company. Developed hundreds of programs in Informix-4GL and Unix, mostly in the accounting and membership applications. Developed programs in Informix/SQL,ESQL/C, "C" and Bourne Shell. Installed equipment and software at customer's site and trained customers in use of software. Directed a staff of independent consultants and managed their projects. Provided technical assistance to marketing and in writing contract proposals. Managed a technical support telephone help-line.
